A row of houses with so much to discover! What could be behind all those many windows? With each day in December, this town becomes more lively and colorful. A very special Advent calendar from the 1940s of the last century. Enjoy this wonderful, nostalgic atmosphere.

Even the Eisenhower presidential family was photographed with this calendar in newspapers. This was the first Advent calendar available in the USA.

A Lovely Piece of History

For the Christmas holidays our garden club is decorating a room of a plantation home in Virginia, USA, in the style of Germany. The family originally came from there. I was so excited to find a copy of an old (by American Standards) Advent calendar to put in the room. It is perfect!!!
